Refraction is the debut EP from Manchester-based producer Oli Harrison.

The 5 tracks on Refraction ebb and flow with a powerful sense of forward trajectory and a broad brush approach to dynamic balance. Jazz, electronica, house and funk all take turns to bubble to the surface whilst the EP as a whole presents an organic marriage of electronics, acoustic instruments and lush atmospherics.

All 5 tracks on Refraction originated from scoring sessions for 3 separate short film soundtrack projects in late 2016 and early 2017. Lumiere was chosen to soundtrack the autumn 2016 advert for London-based luxury retailer William & Son. Ballot and Colour Wheel both feature on the soundtrack to the 2016 documentary Somaliland: An Experiment in Democracy, a film by Sideways Films. Crystal Dinosaur is an adaption on Oli Harrison's score for Tal Amiran's 2017 short film Back To Life: The Crystal Palace Dinosaurs.
